On The Inherent Differences Of Industrial Door Motors

Feb 25, 2023

Industrial doors are generally driven by motors, and the motors installed on industrial doors are also divided into many types, and their quality is also different. The motor of the industrial door has aluminum wire wrap and copper wire wrap, and the motor with aluminum wire wrap is relatively low, the service life of the motor is not long, there are many shortcomings and it is easy to burn out:

1. The resistivity of aluminum wire is high, so the DC resistance of the winding is large, and the heat generated is also greater.

2. The thermal conductivity of aluminum wire is lower than that of copper wire, and it is not easy to dissipate heat.

3. The texture of aluminum wire is softer than that of copper wire, and the pulling ability of anti-magnetic force and anti-mechanical vibration force are relatively weak, so friction will occur between the lines and the turns, and it is easy to damage after a long time.

Copper wire wrapped motors are different. Although the cost of the motor with copper wire wrap is much higher than that of the motor with aluminum wire wrap, the service life of the motor with copper wire wrap is longer than that of the motor with aluminum wire wrap, and the longer service life can also save the cost of the motor. Moreover, the heat generated by the copper coil motor during operation is much less than that generated by the aluminum coil motor, which means that the copper coil motor is more heat-resistant and durable.

Therefore, the industrial door motor must choose a copper coil motor with better quality, so as to ensure the high frequency and long-term stable operation of the industrial door.
